Hi: I would truly appreciate anyone who might have information about the following Bradley: According to the 1850 Phelps Co., MO census, William Arthur Bradley was born in NC about 1814. In 1837 he married Susan Kitchen in MO; they had 8 children according to Susan's obituary in 1899. John b about 1838 --- may have had issue; he served in the Civil War died probably in the 1870s. James b about 1840 --- Died in the Confederate Army Anthony b About 1841 No information George b About 1843 Served in the Civil War Nancy Jane b 1844, d 1895 -- married Foust, Majors, then Jackson. My g grandmother. Margaret Frances b 1849, d 1877 -- Married James Marsh William Jr. --- b 1852, d 1932. I'm not aware of any issue. He was married twice; is buried in Weber Cemetery in Dent Co., MO.. And one child that is not yet identified. There is a county history of either Phelps or Dent County, MO that lists Susan's sister, Elizabeth Kitchen as married to a Samuel Bradley; so far I've not found anyone to 'attach' with certainty to that union. My William Arthur Bradley died in 1852 according to Susan's obituary. A cousin of William Bradley Jr., also named William Bradley, living in Cemet, OK, in 1899 made an affidavit that appears with the land records in Phelps County. I have found so many brick walls in looking for this Bradley; there are family stories that indicate that his sons, Anthony and/or John, may have served with the Union Army while their brothers were on the other side. Thanks for reading this; keep me in mind as a lost Bradley out there! Barbara Sevier
