Joseph, you may have seen the Bradley Bible posted on other county pages, but it was donated to our local museum (Springdale, Washington Co., Ark.). It basically lists the following family: Thomas Bradley b 25 Dec 1762 Married Elizabeth Taylor b 7 oct 1765 Children: Henry Bradley b 6 Jun 1783 Duplin Co., NC m. 3 Jul 1823 Fountainhead, Sumner Co., TN. Wives:Nancy Hall and Rebecca Alley Daniel Bradley b 12 May 1785 Susanna Bradley 12 May 1788 Thomas Bradley 28 May 1791 Luke Bradley 16 May 1794 John Bradley 16 Jun 1797 Eley Elizabeth Bradley 12 Jul 1800 The Bible just lists names and dates and with the help of a desc. of Henry Bradley, I have pieced the Bible names into a family. She lists the children of Henry Bradley b 1783 as: Seth Henry b 16 Nov 1825 Lucinda "Lucy" b 17 Aug 1827 m. John Gimlin Rebecca b 27 Mar 1829 m. John Mitchell Thomas Jefferson b 15 Feb 1831 Andrew Jackson b 28 Jan 1833 Samuel Carroll b 1 May 1834 m. Mary E. Baker (he went to Benton Co., AR) John Taylor b 26 Jun 1836 George b 25 April 1838 Dubois Co., IN Dosha Ann b 31 Jul 1840 James b 5 Nov 1843 Silas b 8 May 1845 Alfred b 21 Apr 1851 I'm thinking that your Richard Bradley should tie into this family. The other researcher believes that Thomas Bradley (b. 1762) was the son of a Richard Bradley who m. a Mitchell. If this is the case, could be your Richard was a family name. According to the Bible and the Henry Bradley desc., this Bradley family and/or their offspring moved from Duplin Co., NC to Sumner Co., TN to Benton and Johnson Co., AR. I would appreciate your thoughts on this Bible family. Cindy Dickinson At 02:00 PM 12/10/97 -0600, jmg@lodelink.com wrote: >Hello rooters, Looking for info on a Richard BRADLEY of Duplin County, >NC.
