I would really like to see the Bradley Family combine information , etc. I am also connected to The Ferguson family and they have started a web page with all members giving there information and working together as a group to see if they can put some missing pieces to together. Lets be honest with each other, there are so many holes and unproven material in those early information that to a person just starting out it looks like Swiss Cheese .Even the most experienced can get mixed up in information... The big problems is in those early settlers that named all of their children the same name, same sequence and took the same migration path. John, Richard, Lawrence,William, etc. You would have to be a genius or closely related to figure it out. I can use the Rutherford Bradley, Burke, and Wilkes County NC. Bradleys. Please do not blast me to another planet. I have been around long enough to recognize some misleading and questionable genealogies because of the lack of information.... Not only in the James that settled in Tennessee right down to the Bradley's of Ark. and south Carolina. As of right now I can prove that I am a Bradley through Netta Kate Bradley from Caldwell County. NC She was born 9 January 1877, Caldwell, NC. She died 12 September 1944, Newton NC. Her Father was John J. F. Bradley born the 9 September 1823 Wilkes County NC. He died 22 July 1884 in Caldwell County (boundary change). His Father was William Bradley born 4 April 1787 in Wilkes County and died 31 August 1849 in Caldwell County, NC. This is the part that is not generally accepted......but I believe that I can prove the information......it also explains the missing?????generation.... I have a deed filed in Wilkes County in 1829 from John Bradley to William Bradley. It states that if William would care for John Bradley and his wife Lucinda that John would get all of the land. etc. I cannot find a marriage record of John and Lucinda but there is no doubt that it states John Bradley and his wife Lucinda. It is the same land that was owned by John Bradley and Rachel Wisdom. I believe that John Bradley was the son of John Bradley and Rachel Wisdom. Lucinda must have died before 1829 because she is not listed in the estate records. So I have listed is the following John Bradley born abt . 1750 in Orange County Virginia Lucinda ??? abt . 1770-75. Orange County Virgina...Wilkes County he died in 1829 in Wilkes County...... John Bradley born about 1730 Orange County Virginia married Rachel Wisdom about 1750 in Orange County Virginia died? : / ???????? to tell you the truth I do not know when Ra chel and John died . I do know that they were both dead before Ann Wisdom died in 1800 because they are not mentioned in her will except that Rachel part would go to her children......If John would have been alive at the time his name would have been mentioned because he was the oldest and lived the closest to herHe also owned land next to her son ?/Wisdom... Laurence lived more in the part of Wilkes that would become Burke County NC. John Bradley is the son of Richard Bradley born 1700 and wife Ann Unknown. Pat
