Hi, Terry. Good to hear from you. I must have some bad information regarding my Bradley line. I posted it on the BRADLEY-ROOTS discussion the other day and you responded along with Neil Smith. You both have the same information. I have attached my family group sheets for John Bradley and his two wives: Diana and Mary Ledbetter. There are some differences between the information that I have and what you sent. These differences cause some real problems. I have Mary Ledbetter's birth year as 1745. You have their marriage as about 1755. I have their marriage as 1763 and the birth dates that I have for their children range from 1765 to 1776. I also have the John Bradley (1707-1778) as John (1739-1778) Bradley's uncle. Do I really have some bad data or do you have data that I don't have? You wrote: >John (1707) Bradley listed with brother, Isaac b)18 May >1705; their father listed as Edward b)ca 1680 > Do you have this reference? Please look over what I have and the comments above and see if you can help me work this out with some other references or copies of data. Thank you very much for your interest and help! I have a transcript of the Will. John had two wives as stated in his Will. Mary was the last and appointed an executor along with Richard Ledbetter. The children listed for this family were named by John in his Will. His first wife, however, was not mentioned. There was also a note by Mrs. Milton W. Neathery, 950 Forest Rd., Athens, GA. 30605 that Mary was John's second wife--Code 27268. History: The Bradleys and Ledbetters were living in Rutherford Co, NC, in the 3rd Co., near Cedar Creek, and are listed there during the 1790 Census. There is also a Harris family in the area. Wife's Notes... ---------------------------------------- There are two dates for John and Mary's marriage: 1758 and 1763. The date (1758) for John Bradley's and Mary's marriage is probably incorrect, if Mary's birth date (1745) is correct. Based on the data available, the more reasonable date is 1763. Mary would have been 17 or 18 years old in 1763. I will use 1763 until it can be verified. For a list of Mary and John Goodbread's children see the Bradley folder.
