    1. [BRADLEY-L] Bradley's on the Titanic
    2. Phil & Kay Buglass
    3. Hi Everyone, I, too, am searching for my family of Bradleys. For Christmas, I bought my husband the "James Cameron Titanic" CD set. On it, it lists all the passengers and crew on the Titanic along with who was saved and who wasn't. There were quite a few Bradley's listed in there. None of them fit into my family that I know of yet, but if anyone is interested, I'll post the names and the information given on the CD. Maybe it will help someone out there. Bye for now. Kay B.

    1. [BRADLEY-L] Broderbund CDs for FTM
    2. Glenn A. Knight
    3. I don't like to put down any manufacturer, and, from all I hear, Family Tree Maker is an excellent product. However, Nancy's original question was whether to buy additional CDs from Broderbund (I gather she already has FTM). The FTM users in the Pikes Peak Computer Genealogists universally advise against buying the additional CDs. They advise that, when buying FTM, you buy the bargain version, and not the more deluxe versions, because you are paying for CDs. It's not that that information on the CDs is bad information (though I understand that it is not screened, edited, or verified in any way by Broderbund). It's that the odds of finding information pertaining to any particular line of research on a given CD are pretty poor. Since so many people have various CDs, which came with FTM when they bought it, it should be possible to start a pool of them to share within a genealogical club or an FTM users' group. Bonne chasse!

    2. Nancy W. Lewis
    3. I would like some information from any of you who have family treemaker. Do you have any of the CDs and are they worth buying? I got an email about a special and wonder if it is worth the money and what to buy. As I have not worked for 2 months, money is tight, so I don't need to purchase unwisely. Thank you for your input. Nancy nlewisjm@bellsouth.net

    1. [BRADLEY-L] Re: Question
    2. Nancy--- The Family Treemaker is well worth it. You can put all of your information into the computer and have it readily available whenever you need it instead of searching for things wherever they're stored and all that. You can scan alot of stuff and put it on there as well. You might want to look into buying it. Vincent

Details on contributing to RootsWeb are available at the following RootsWeb URL: http://www.rootsweb.com/rootsweb/how-to-subscribe.html The following was extracted from the above URL. The RootsWeb Genealogical Data Cooperative is supported by its users: RootsWeb would cease to exist if not for the support of folks like you. By becoming a Member, Sponsor, or Donor, you help RootsWeb provide Web and FTP space on thousands of genealogical topics, mailing lists for thousands of groups of genealogists with shared interests, and search engines to make huge amounts of genealogical data freely available to Internet genealogists. Individual users may join the Cooperative at differing levels of support. While there are some differences in the services we provide at each level, fundamentally when you choose a level you're making a choice about what kind of genealogical resources you want to see brought onto the Internet. If you choose not to join, you're basically saying "Let someone else do it." Members, Sponsors, and Donors are all saying "Let's each contribute something towards making more genealogical resources available to everyone on the Internet." Basically, RootsWeb subscribers can contribute at the following levels: Member $12.00 Sponsor $24.00 plus Donor $100.00 plus How to Join by Mail One way to join RootsWeb is by sending a check in U.S. dollars to: RootsWeb Genealogical Data Cooperative P.O. Box 6798 Frazier Park, CA 93222-6798 Please make sure your name and e-mail address are on the check! Also, tell us whether you are joining as a Member, Sponsor, or Donor. Thanks! Please don't send cash, and please don't send drafts denominated in foreign currency. (American banks charge huge fees for currency conversions.) If you are outside the United States, please use a credit card so the currency adjustment is automatic and inexpensive. How to Join by Credit Card, over the Net or by Fax You can join easily from your keyboard by using our Secure Server* and your VISA or MasterCard. If you prefer not to use the Web, go ahead and fill out the form, but print it out instead and fax it to 1-805-242-3649. * "Secure Server" is accessable at the URL shown above. 3. Hello Fellow Searchers, I am searching for any information on my Great Grandfather Sylvenus/Sylvanus Bradley born 12-22-1872 in Canada and died 04-09-1934 in Lima, Ohio. I recently found a copy of his Obituary. It states that he was survived by a brother F.J. Bradley of Michigan a sister Mary Nelson also of Michigan and a sister Edith Exelby of Saint John's, Ohio. The only information that I have on their parents is the names Henry for the father and Ellen Mcvoy/McVay for the mother. I know this may sound vague but it's all I have and I have been trying to flesh this branch out for almost 10 years. Any information anyone could give me would be extemely appreciated. Thank you, Scott M. Bradley

    3. > Hi Margie, I'm not too sure which Bradley you seek; but I believe that . 2 (____) BRADLEY b: Aft. 1756 in NORTH CAROLINA *********** ..... +(____) WATSON b: in GEORGIA and . 2 [2] Molly Rebis Kelin Bradley b: 1764 d: Aft. 1783 ..... +(____) Watson from your chart below, are probably the same people. According to the notes left to me by Ms Bess M Bradley (dec'd, Boone researcher) Molly was the oldest of Terry's children, and that soon after her second marriage (to a Mr Watson) she moved to Georgia. I have been looking for the descendants of this Mr Watson and Molly for 40+ years. The following excerpt from Terry's will: "...and whats over paid to my estate shall fall to my daughter Moley Kelin, my desire is after her decease to be equally devided amongst their children." would confirm that the Watson's had some children. The following is the only information I have that Molly was the oldest. It is a little weak, I grant, but until I can uncover something better I have been leaning toward this "theory": >From the --1770, Rowan County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions-- "The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above Bound on Terry Bradley was this day appointed by the said Justice a gardian to Molley Keeling Bradley, Leonard Keeling Bradley, John Bradley, Edward Bradley, Richard Bradley, George Bradley and Matthew Bradley his own children.." We know from long tradition that females were (usually) named last in wills. as was Molly in Terry's will; but in the above bond, she was named first, which leaves me to believe (perhaps erroneously) that she was the oldest. By the way..... when 'ya 'gonna digest that Virginia stuff I sent 'ya and respond? {{;-) <Klingon Terry Bradley > Subject: [BRADLEY-L] Bradley > Date: Sun, 13 Dec 1998 18:11:35 -0600 > From: "Margie Phelps" <MargiePhelps@worldnet.att.net> > To: BRADLEY-L@rootsweb.com > > I need a family for this BRADLEY, he/she needs a first name, a birthdate, > location and etc, plus his/her spouse should have all that , too. > Can > anyone help them > Thx in advance > Margie > Descendants of TERRY THOMAS BRADLEY > > 1 TERRY THOMAS BRADLEY b: 1725 in NORTH IRELAND d: 1785 in SURREY CO., > NORTH CAROLINA > .. +MOLLY KEELING b: 1722 in Middlesex Co., VA d: Aft. 1783 in Surry Co., > NC m: Aft. 1750 in SURRY CO., NORTH CAROLINA Father: Thomas Keeling, Jr. > Mother: Catherine BALL > . 2 (____) BRADLEY b: Aft. 1756 in NORTH CAROLINA *********** > ..... +(____) WATSON b: in GEORGIA > . 2 LEONARD KEELING BRADLEY b: Apr 24, 1756 in SURREY OR ROWAN CO, NC. d: > Dec 2, 1834 in MOBERLY, RANDOLPH CO, MO > ..... +MARY (POLLY) BOONE b: Mar 7, 1766 in KENTUCKY d: Nov 1, 1851 in > MOBERLY, MISSOURI m: Jun 20, 1785 in FORT BOONESBOROUGH, KENTUCKY Father: > SAMUEL BOONE, SR.
