Mary Elizabeth ADAMS was born in KY in 1827 (possibly Lawrence County). She married Edward KIERNAN in LaSalle County, IL in 1847 or before. They had three children before Edward died in 1854. Elizabeth (as she was known) then married William BERRY in LaSalle County, IL in 1856 and they lived for a brief time in Livingston County, IL and had four children. William was listed on the 1860 IL census as a miller and was born in England in 1820. Elizabeth died in 1905. The children were: William BERRY, b. Ottawa, IL 1857 Mary Agnes BERRY, b. 1862 Elizabeth (Lizzie) Cecilia BERRY, b. 1866 - m. Michael DONAHUE. Frances Ann BERRY, b. Ottawa 1859, d. 1954 - m. Michael Thomas BRADSHAW They had seven children: John Edward BRADSHAW - m. Maude C. WYKES, John died in 1949. Etta M. BRADSHAW, b. 1887, d. 1971, Odell, Livingston Co. IL Grace Frances BRADSHAW, b. 1893 - m. Francis J. CRAVEN Marguerite Agnes BRADSHAW, b. 1895 - m. Lawrence P. READY Joseph BRADSHAW, b. 1897 Genevieve Elizabeth BRADSHAW, b. 1899 - m. Thomas I. HAGERTY Helene Monica BRADSHAW, b. 1902 - m. Carl J. LATZ Anybody have a BRADSHAW line from IL. at that time?
I read about your William when I first began my BRADLEY study. We first find our Abraham Bradley in 1768 when he signed a petition in NC. He moved to Greenville SC in 1784. One by one our many of our Bradleys moved to GA. If you see any connection then please let me know. Billie
Stay in contact. I have forgotten the connection to our Bradley's in Greenville SC, but I do remember that at one time I was very interested in the Gov. I am very busy now, but I will try to find time to see why I was so interested. I think that I thought since he was a VIP that there might be a sketch about him in KY records and then that a sketch might give us more information about our family. It seems to me that I thought that there was a Taylor connection. Does that mean anything to you. Billie
I am fairly new to this list. Am looking for information on the following: Francis Marion BRADLEY, died in Goldsbury, MO. Married Margaret Franklin (not sure what last name was). Francis Marion Bradley was one of the earliest governors of the State of Kentucky. They had a son William Franklin BRADLEY, b. Oct 22, 1856, Goldsbury, MO; d. Jun 15, 1890, Goldsbury or Elmer, MO. He married Janie Ellen MOORE on Apr 20, 1876. Don't know if William had any siblings or not. Can anyone out there help me?? I'd appreciate any information you can give me. Thanks, KateKeller@aol.com

Hi Linda, Thank you for posting to the Bradley list. As a mentor of the Bradley list I do have a few suggestions and guide lines which should help you. Most lists have a preferred format which they would like subscribers to use. In the subject line, always put the surname first in capitals, then the first name. Follow this by a date or dates and then by a location or locations. With your posting "BRADLEY Eleanor/TYLER Robert 1700s Va or Ky" would attract more attention. Remember, many people have so much mail they have to be selective. They skim down the subject lines and delete any that do not interest them. It also helps in locating your posting at a later date, when looking through files.
Does anyone have anything about an Eleanor Bradley who married Robert Tyler? They were probably born in the early 1700's in KY or VA. Their daughter was named Margaret Tyler b. 1755 in VA, d. 1840 in KY. Margaret married Robert Langley Tyler in 1772. Thank you, Linda Leebron
Hello. I don't subscribe to this list, but have this census and wanted to share the info. I will list the first name of these 'Bradley' families and the state they moved to Illinois from. If more information is wanted, please e-mail me directly. Regards, Bonnie ********* Siman from Indiana James from Kentucky

Tami and Norman, I was searching the internet for info on Johanna Waddington and came across this page you might be interested in seeing. http://www5.pair.com/vtandrew/family/i0003488.htm#i3488 Fredrick Bradley of NYC is the organizer of the Bradley Society. As I understand it, that group is now defunct. However, My Mom wrote to him and got copies of the Journals for 3 years. They are interesting and cover several different Bradley lines. His Address is: Fredrick W. Bradley 7 East 14th Street,Ste. 21-g New York.NY 10003-3115 Jim, I see only one Isham Bradley listed in the journals. He is just mentioned in the "Bradley's listed in the 1790 Census of South Carolina" Neil, I looked for your Bradley's and didn't see anything at a glance. I will look closer. Check out this page on the inernet: http://www.smokykin.com/ged/f003/f57/a0035749.htm
Does anyone know the ancestors of Edward 1680 Bradley? Neil Smith <nsmith2@lightspeed.net>
Our first proven ancestor is Abraham who signed a petition in NC in 1768. we have years of study after 1768 with proof. We can not move this family back----. Can you help? Billie
Margie, Thankyou for posting your Bradley line. I was particularly interested in Diane Corntassel. What a wonderful name! As wife #1 and Mary Ledbetter as wife #2 I can see how the two John Bradleys have been confused. Phoebe Holloway can rest in peace as the wife of the other John. Philippa
