    3. Here is another letter which has been saved in the JOHN DAVIS BRADLEY Bible for a long time. Someone may find it od interest. The interesting thing, to me, about the letter is that it implies that JAMES H. BRADLEY was already married, with a family, before the first Indian Territory land "Run" of 1889. James married Effie Black in 1891. Purcell Ind Terry April the 8th/89 Dear Brother I drop you this to let you Know all are up. All have just got over the Measles. I heard you are a going to Little River to settle. What part are you going to? My advice is for you not to start with any wagons if you want to get a place. Secure your place and then get your family afterwards. There are a going to be a terrible rush from this part of the country for Little River but only hope you will get there with the rest. This would be as near a place to Little River as you could get to- that is if you are aiming to strike high up on the River. It is only about 10 or 12 miles to the nearest point on Little River from here. I think Gus & Jeff are going there. I have a place located here on the River if I should happen to get beat out of it. I am pulling for Little River immediately. I have a fine place on the railroad & good outlet to the C.N. IT. I could get $100 for my chances on it now but I can't see that atal for I have got too good a show to get there my self. I am watching others. In a hurry. Your Brother J. H. Bradley let me hear from you at once or come up here to start.

    2. James R. Marie
    3. Neil, I have Isaac's (my 4g gf) parents as: John 1739 Bradley and Mary 1745 Ledbetter. They were married about 1763 in NC. John mentions Isaac in his Will dated 1778. Both John and Mary had other spouses. Take care! Jim ================================================== >Would you please confirm as to who is Isaac 1772 Bradley's father. > >Sincerely, >H. 1. Wilson and Betty (Minges) Bradley
    2. James R. Marie
    3. Family tradition is that Wilson (1826) Bradley and his wife Elizabeth "Bettie" Minges (1828) Bradley moved from Jefferson Co, TN to MO. However, there is a tombstone in the Hopewell Cemetery, Dandridge, TN, inscribed for Wilson and Bettie. This inscription does not give a death date for either of them and there is question if they were buried in this cemetery. Does anyone have information about them? One of their sons, Judson T. Bradley (1854-1888), and one of their daughters, Lula F. Bradley (1862-1881), are buried in the Hopewell Cemetery near the marker for Wilson and Bettie. Two of their other children, Ephriam and Sarah, married, raised families and spent their lives in East TN. Thanks for any help on this! Jim

    3. Hello, I am interested in learning about the parents of Charles Harrison Bradley, born Nov 1, 1895 in White County, TN. I think his fathers name was James. Charles married Martha Temple Kerley of Cumberland Cnty, TN in Jan 1915. Martha and Charles had four or five children before 1926 in Big Lick, Cumberland County, or New York?, TN before moving to KY. Any information or suggestions will be appreciated. Can someone do a census lookup for 1900 on James Bradley? Thanks, GPR

He was the oldest son of George W. Bradley and Elizabeth Davis Bradley. John's wife was Claracy Ann Haines/Haynes Bradley.
