Am researching Rueben Bradley of Edgecombe Co. North Carolina, married Arabell Parr; Rueben was 11 years of age in 1860 census, I believe his father was also named Rueben Bradley, but do not have information on his spouse. I believe also that the eldest Rueben Bradley was a Civil War veteran. This family lived around Enfield and Whitakers, North Carolina for several generations. Marriage between TEB and RR is 19-12-1865 in Trinity Church, Tredegar, Bow. TEB is listed as a 'licensed victualler of Brook Green, Hammersmith'. He later became a shipping clerk. Rosetta's address is listed as 19 Gainsborough Road. Their father is listed on the Wedding certificate also as Thomas Edward Bradley - deceased, a baker. I am searching for information on the Bradley families in Macon Co., NC and Rabun Co., GA in the 19th century. These Bradleys were allied with the Hopper family (descendants of Samuel Hopper of Rabun Co., GA). In particular is the family of Joshua Bradley and Elizabeth -----. Does any one recognize this obit. BRADLEY-Mrs. Rossie Jane Bradley, 88, died yesterday at the home, 2919 Monroe. She was born in Stanford, Ky. and moved to Warrensburg, Mo. when a child, crossing the Mississippi river on a ferry. She moved to Kansas City from Warrensburg in 1901. Mrs. Bradley was a member of the First Baptiste church and the Women's Benefit Association. A son, James L. Bradley, of the home survives. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetary. I'd like to know who her husband and in-laws were. This was a clipping I'd imagine from the KC Star but no date. Thanks.
