There is no Jane listed, but maybe this info will help in your search: Bird Booker Bradford, slave owner(b. abt 1764, N.Carolina, d.1833 Smith County, Tenn. He had children that moved to Kentucky, Kansas, and Louisiana. After the slaves were freed, a lot of them took the owners last name, name of the plantation, or the name of someone they looked up too. I have a list I am putting on line now. It is the list of slave owners with less than 10 slaves. I do not have the complete list but am sharing what I have.
