    3. Congratulations David!! What a wonderful happening!! I hope you can stop your "happy dance" long enough to sit and enter all your new connections. And maybe do a look up for me??? Does your new book mention a Samuel Bradford (1738-1811) from Snow Hill, Maryland? He is a brick wall to at least three of us on the Bradford list. Thanks much, Leona From: David E. Cann Sent: Thursday, October 13, 2005 8:04 AM This post is more a sharing of a success (finally!) A week or so ago I bought an old genealogy work of Gov. Bradford's descendants on eBay. It is actually a large PDF document, not a printed work, but yesterday I finally got lucky and my "Bradford brick wall" is now in shambles.

    3. Leona, I have this book. Uunsurprisingly, it does not mention Samuel. I must here stress that there's really no good reason, and never has been, to suppose that Samuel is descended from Gov. William. ON a related note, we're not quite ready to come out with the information yet, but evidence from DNA testing indicates to a near certainty that Samuel is not desended from Gov. William. In the Bradford Y-DNA project we have one confirmed descenant of Gov. WIlliam and one confirmed descendant of Samuel (that would be me). We don't share a common ancestor, at least not in the last 10,000 years. The only thing remaining to make the evidence absolutely conclusive is to find other proven descendants of Samuel and Gov. William through different lines. - Adam On 10/14/05, Leona <lmastan@jps.net> wrote: > Congratulations David!!
