This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3YF.2ACIB/1760 Message Board Post: Some results have been posted: www.bradfordgenealogy.org This Genealogical Y-DNA project should be of assistance with our Bradford brick walls. Please encourage any male Bradford's to participate so that we can build our base and sort these lines out. An example of related interest: KIT 20963 who doesn't match anyone in the project, (to this point), exhibits the haplotype R1b, who evidently immigrated to the British Isles earlier than the Celtic Language and is the most common haplotype in western Europe. [See discussion on the DNA-L Rootsweb list.] He also has over 100 exact matches at 12/12 in the database for REO (Recent Ethnic Origin) whereas the three related participants in our project only have 5 matches in the same database. Our other non-match, kit 20873, has 20. The I haplogroup of these last four is described as probably Viking/Scandanavian. Interesting. Many more benefits than appear on the surface. Regards, Becky
