    1. Re: BRADFORD of Fairfield District, SC to GA, 1800s
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: BRADFORD, DARNALL, BUTLER Classification: Will Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3YF.2ACIB/1757.1.1 Message Board Post: I didn't know there was a limit here. Are you talking about space or different families? I know there is more than one Bradford line represented by the records I posted. I was attemting to separate those who came to Wilkes from those who came directly to Gwinnett or later to Gwinnett Co., GA. Thanks for posting your website; I'll certainly take a look at it. I am making a census document on the SC and GA Bradfords, but as you likely know, every family had a John, William, Robert, Charles or Nathaniel, Joshua, Samuel, or Richard. I am especially looking for the children of John Bradford (II) of SC(?MD) who md Anne Darnall, daughter of Henry and Anne Diggens Darnall . One source gives John as John II, son of John and 1 Ann (unknown) or 2 Joyce, widow of Jas. Butler, Prince George's Co.--(guess this is MD) [p. 259 REGISTER OF MARYLAND'S HERALDIC FAMILIIES Vol. I] The older John (planter) d. 1726 when son John (II) inherited much land in Prince George's Co and also cottage/land in village of Thinkinson in Co. of Leicester, Gr. Britain which was bequeated to testator by Uncle John Smith of ...town of One Leap...near town of Stoak Gelding in Leicester now in possession of John Bradford . John (I) also gives land to sister Mary Jones and her sons, Evan and John......Exs: wife Joyce, son John, James Carroll and bro. Thomas Gant. Wife to see that whatever is due estate of Mrs. James Butler be pd to her children out of personal estate. Thomas Gant to have charge of education of son, John during his minority. MARYLAND CALENDAR OF WILLS, p. 216-217 John (II) may have moved to VA, but do not have documentation of this yet. Does anyone have any information on those Bradfords who entered at Charleston, SC port? I believe many of the ships only gave a number on the ship and not the names.
