Also the younger Charles had died by 1832 when his orphans drew land lots. I think that both Charles likely died in Gwinnett County (elder might have died in Wilkes Co., GA), GA. I found a reference to a book that told about the Fairfield District, SC Bradfords who came to GA and I think Robert and Charles were mentioned--so wonder if they were brothers, cousins, father and son, or what; bound to have been some relation as both came from Fairfield. I have no documentation, but believe Charles, the elder, was a son of C. D. Bradford (Charles Darnell Bradford) of SC, early ---about 1790-1820 era. Based this conclusion on some of the data found online and early census and military lists. I would be pleased to hear more from researchers in this line to prove or disprove my theory. Perhaps together, we can find the needed documentation. My ancestor, Elisabeth Bradford, was b. 1825 in Fairfield District, SC (have proof of this) and she md my ancestor, Joseph Washington Dodd (have proof of this) in Gwinnett Co., GA in 1845 (?1843-don't have notes handy-have proof of this), and moved from there to Randolph County, AL about 1853, stayed there through 1870, later in Cleburne Co., AL 1880 til her death in 1916. I think Randolph, which no longer exists, is what is now known as Cleburne. I would be interested in the Pruett connection. Are you online anywhere? You may contact me directly, w4ctk@farmerstel.com .
