We have thought she was born in West Virginia but an 1880 census has her with my great-grandparents in West Wheeling, Belmont Co., OHIO as was another sister, Elizabeth. That 1880 census is the last record I can find on our Margaret Bradford. Her sister, Martha Adeline Bradford, was my grandmother who was born May 13, 1883 in Triadelphia, OHIO COUNTY., WV and died November 18, 1971 in Washington, Washington Co., PA. Could there have been some confusion between Ohio state and Ohio "county"? Other than my grandmother, the only other Bradford I ever had contact with and remember (from my early childhood) is Grandma and Margaret Jane's brother, John Thomas Bradford who died in 1969. Unfortunately, there is no one left alive now to even ask. I have found a Bradford cousin in Texas who is as in the dark as I am. I am currently running searches of other census years. As of 1910, my Bradford family (including our elusive William Henry Bradford) was living in Triadelphia, Ohio Co., WV. My Grandma, her husband and 2 children were living next door and down the same street were other family members on the Malson side including another Bradford brother, Lewis Frank. However, our Margaret Jane Bradford wasn't with any of them. If she was already married this is undoubtedly why and without a married name, impossible to trace. I am hoping to find her in a 1900 census and will run census searches on James Mullins and see what I can come up with. Consistently in my search, I have found family members living with one another and next door or nearby, i.e. I was looking up my Grandma's first husband, found him in 1910 census and surprised to discover our Bradfords next door. Since your Margaret died in 1956 and you know where, possibly you can try to obtain a death certificate from that state's vital records. There could be information on it that might shed some light as to whether or not your Margaret and ours are one and the same. Feel free to contact me any time at my email address. Best regards, LeAnn McRoberts
