    3. Hi all, Just wanted to let you know that I found Daniel Bradford, son of James and Rachel Hare Bradford from Cabarrus Co., in the census last night for 1860 and 1870 census. He was living in Iredell County at the time. I also found him in Rowan Co. for 1840 and in 1850 Cabarrus Co. I have updated the NC Census page to reflect the 1860 and 1870 census records. Hopefully before the end of the week, I can get up 1840, 1850 and check on the 1880 census. It's doubtful he would be in 1900 since he was born about 1802 or 1803 (according to the census). I have Daniel in the database for the NC Bradford Project, but no one descended from him. If you're a descendant, please let me know and I can update the database. In 1850, he has a daughter listed age 6 months named Rachel. You'll notice in 1860, he has a daughter 10 years old named Hulda and I'm thinking they are the same person or possibly that his wife Nancy was pregnant at the time of the 1850 census and Rachel had died. It's interesting to note that in 1840-1860 census, Daniel is either "Dan R." or "Danl R", etc. but in 1870 he is "David". Also his son Lorenzo from the 1860 census is enumerated as Newton L. in 1870. 1860 also does mark anyone illiterate in the household, but in 1870, all the women are as is Newton L. (age 18).
