Ok all, I think mentioned to the list that I just started a new job at the State Library of NC, which shares a building with the state archives. I use my lunch and breaks to search for information there. Today (and the rest of this week), I have been searching for marriage records. What I am doing is starting with Granville County and then spreading out and I will eventually get them all. I found numerous records today in the following counties: Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Franklin, Granville, Orange, and Wake. (all before 1868) The following counties I looked at had nothing for Bradford (male or female): Alexander, Anson, Catawba, Cleveland, Durham, Edgecombe, Northampton, Person, or Vance (all before 1868) Hopefully by the end of next week, I'll have looked at all counties. Once I'm finished (and periodically until then), I will be sending the list names for each county I come across (Groom, Bride, and date). If you find something you want, let me know and I will get a copy for you from the archives and only ask for reimbursement for costs of the copies and for shipping. Expect the first list of names to come by the end of this week.
