Erin - Many thanks for retrieving and transcribing this will. This isn't my line but this is what I have: DAVID was the son of PHILEMON & Mary Bryd, he is named in Philemon's will and left 400 acres on Poplar Branch, etc. (Believe this will is on LaVere Peters website.) David & Elizabeth's son, JAMES married Elizabeth Rust and they evidently moved to Smith Co., TN. Their children were: David M., Ann R., & Vincent R. all born in TN. DAVID had a brother Philemon who married Elizabeth Booker. So Booker Bradford was his nephew (he also removed to Brush Creek, Smith Co., TN). Don't see that this Philemon named a child Philemon so the person mentioned in the will must be David's brother himself who died before May 1804. The DAVID who married Mary Kearney, died abt. 1821 in Stewart Co., TN. He was the son of THOMAS & Mary Bradford, grandson of PHILEMON & Mary Byrd. So his relationship to David (of the will) was Nephew!!! [This is the lineage in the TN email before yours. His brother, #5 Thomas married Eve Kearney.] Anyway this is all very hard to ferret out and needless to say I could be incorrect in places. Becky
