From the book "Abstracts of Granville Co NC", Bartow FL Genealogy library p. 107 & 108 Will of Thomas Bradford written 22 Mar 1785, probated May Court 1786 p. 484-486 Wife: Mary Daughters: Elizabeth Prewit, Mary Lovet, Sealy Bradford & Sarah Bradford Sons: Philemon, David, Thomas, Ephraim, & Benjamin Brother: Richard Bradford Executors: my wife Mary & son Philemon Bradford Witnesses: Simon Clement, Benjamin Morgan, Mary Priddom & Mark Clement I believe the name is Prewitt. Some of the Bradford's moved to Smith Co TN. The Prewitt's were there also. I don't have any connections for the two families in Smith Co but I do believe Elizabeth married a Prewitt / Pruitt. Erin, note that no son in the above transcription was named Richard. Did the will actually list Richard as a son? And wife, Mary possibly would have died after him as she was one of the executors. His will was dated the 20-something of March, 1785 (the 2nd digit of the day was faded beyond recongition) and the will was proven in the May term of 1786 in Granville Co., NC. Also, Jack London has this line and he originally was the person to send me information on this line. I have been working to verify information as very little listed documentation, although it pretty much all checks out. I am not sure if he is still on this list. He's not subscribed with the same address and the one I have for him was returned to me saying it doesn't exist.
