    2. Hello Becky, As I recall, there was a will of a Thomas Bradford of Granville who mentioned some heirs in Orange County. I do not consider myself a true researcher of the family, but I do remember running across such a document but cannot lay my hands upon it at the moment. I have been having computer problems, which have just been rectified, but will need some time to check through my old verical files. One of the more interesting things to come from the Y-DNA project is that the Alamance area Bradfords are not related to the Richard line of Charles City Co., VA. (i.e. The David and Thomas Bradford discussed previously - although this line did have some connections to Orange at the same time.) The Orange Co. Bradfords have not been able to make a connection further back than Orange Co., possibly the King origins might offer an geographical avenue for exploration. Many thanks for your post and information - one never knows where clues might lead. John - that's correct, it was Thomas, son of RICHARD & Anna Roles Bradford, whose 1st wife was Elizabeth Smith. I have his second wife as Mary Moore, and their son Richard was the heir who received the 400 acres in Orange Co. on Lick Creek. (Think I remember that Lick Creek is in the extreme Southeastern corner of Orange. maybe Durham now.) Believe he sold this in 1770... and most of this info came from Peter Sandlund. Further this Richard 1st married Elizabeth Singleton, 2nd Nancy Spears removing to Sumter Co., SC and died there 21 Jun 1826. Also have note of a deed witnessed by George King between Thomas and James Dickens. Dated Sep. 4, 1750 Granville Co. (The land was also on (a) Lick Creek.) Will send along ... Regards, Becky
