    3. Just reread Erin's query and these are the only notes I have on the David who married Mary Kearney: PIONEER TRAILS, April 1974 David Bradford moved to Stewart Co., Tenn., 1804, at mouth of South Cross Creek on Cumberland River and kept a ferry; died ca 1821. There is a report by Genealogist Timothy Kearney prepared 27 Dec 1997 for Terrance H. Fregly (Google for it) that offers clues as to the relationships among NC Bradfords, including the Kearney sisters. The JOHN Bradford mentioned in the will is probably his brother. [b. abt 1751 d. 1829] who married Judith Mann. Granville Co. marriage Bonds: Judy Mann m. John Bradford Betty Mann m. David Bradford, 1777 Fanny Mann m. Booker Bradford, 1788 NOTE: In looking at the birth dates of the children of Philemon/Mary Byrd I wrote down the 1st five were born abt. 1730 to 1738..... THEN John and David were born abt. 1751 & 1754. These are the notes I had attached: Philemon may have been married more than once; some researchers say three times. Mary, who was named in his will, survived him for at least twelve years. It seems possible that she may have been the mother of John and David, but not of the other five children; there is a thirteen-year span of time between child numbers 5 and 6. David T. Bradford suggests that Philemon was married in Virginia to a woman named BIRD or BYRD. He further says that other researchers believe that the second wife was Mary PARKER, daughter of Jonathan and Ann (COPELAND) PARKER. Providing possible support for that thesis is the fact that two of the witnesses to Philemon's will were Joseph and Mary PARKER. SOURCE: LaVere Peters All would appreciate any clarification, gets kind of complicated when the wives have the same first name. Becky
