Who are you related to? If we are talking about the same bradfords, and i think we are, Richard's father is Vespasian Bradford. Born about 1545. then Richard (although I show a Richard was born on 6/24/1605 and died the next day----looking into that.) I have a Richard that was born in 1636 and had a son, Richard born in 1660 (i have better dates, just have to find them) and then Richard had a son Philemon in 1703. Philemon had a son named Thomas (1731) this is where things get tricky for me, I have read that Thomas and David were really brothers and I know that both Thomas and David have kids named after each other and there is another Philemon in there somewhere. Anyway, then I have David listed as Thomas' son born 1765. Then I have Crawford as David's son, Crawford had 5 kids, including Henry, David, Sarah Kendal, Nancy "Polly", and WM C. William C. had 6 kids, incl a set of Twin boys, one of which is my husband's gpa. HENRY TROY. Henry Troy then had 4 girls, including a set of twins, one of which is my MIL. did i confuse you? we can fill in blanks later. I would appreciate any help anyone might be able to give. thanks

They were big on passing names down from one generation to another. I guess I'm just as bad. My name Nancy has been passed down each generation from Thomas and I have a daughter and a granddaughter called Nancy. Nancy

I knew about some of Philemon's crew going to TN but as far as I no I haven't made a connection. In the past, I researched Philemon back to Richard in VA. I wrote a book about my Bradford ancestors, and had just enough books printed for my children and first cousins on the Bradford side. My maiden name was Bradford, and I warned everyone about going the Philemon route since I spent so much time on it to no avail. Best of luck in your research. When you hit the proverbial brick wall it it extremely frustrating. Nancy

I had a cousin who insisted he was the one and I ordered books from the Genealogy Library and printed everything I could find in order to convence her the Philemon's Thomas was not our Thomas. They were some Bradford's in Orange County NC who used the name Thomas a lot, but I haven't been able to make that connection either. I'm beginning to think my Thomas was indeed found in a cabbage patch. Nancy

They had a daughter Adillah born February 9, 1869. They also had a son Lee Bradford that was probably 3 years younger than Adillah. I believe Mr. Bradford died and Mary, Adillah, and Lee moved to the Fort Worth, Texas area. Adillah married a Charles Creighton and had two sons. He was murdered in Mexico and she then married N. B. Moore in Palo Pinto, Texas and had three more children, Fay, Merle, and John. Fay was my grandmother. Adillah died in 1956 in Snyder, Texas. Anything on the Bradfords or Beavers would be appreciated.
