Thank you for your informative post. Who do you have for the mother of Matilda Bradford (1818-1861)? I have found the marriage of Matilda Bradford to Absolem A Hensley listed in Crawford Co, MO 16 Jan 1837. But, what documentation is there that she is indeed the Matilda who is a daughter of Adam? Is there an obituary you can post? Thanks much, Leona

I am descended from William Bradford & Rachel Rayment (Raymond). William was born about 1650 in England and as far as I know, is no relation to Gov. Wm of the Mayflower. They lived in Beverly, MA. I don't have my gen. info on this PC, but if you google their names together, you might find some info. My apologies to all for the REpost, but I have been searching for this ancestor for sixteen years now. David Bradford Board Admin - - - - - This John Bradford is one of my more elusive Bradford ancestors, and I would like very much to find his parents if I can. Following is what I have on him, but much of it is not positively documented and subject to correction: BORN: 25 Jul 1798, but I have TN, MD, VA, and NC as possible places of birth, so this is very much up in the air. TN is indicated in the 1850 and 1860 Federal Census. MARRIED: Married Sarah Blades on 20 Jan 1817 in Franklin County, Indiana. They were married by a Baptist minister named Rev. John Blades, thought to be the bride's uncle. CHILDREN: Isaac (1827-1908), Harvey (1828-1900), Emaline (1830- ), John Herod (1832-1904), Sarah Ann (1833-1900), Jonathan William (1830-1903). John is thought to be widowed by 1860, as he is shown in the 1860 Federal Census as living with his son Jonathan and daughter Sarah. He cannot be found in the 1870 Federal Census, so I presume he died in the 1860s. I would be extatic if someone could lead me to his parents or give me any information on them, as I do not have anything on them at all. Many thanks in advance for any fragment of information you might have.
