A few months ago I visited the Georgia State Archives which at that time was doing some house cleaning getting ready to be moved and combined with the National Archives here in Georgia. They had several shelves of books, I suppose were duplicate copies that they were selling. I purchased several books for my personal genealogy library, one of which was "Bradford Roots and Branches" compiled by Nancy Vashti Anthony Jacob in 1975. Although not my Bradford line, this book covers the family of Samuel Bradford who came from Ireland to South Carolina in 1768. These Bradfords are from the Kershaw County South Carolina area and later on Pickens County Alabama and then on to Louisiana. I will be more than happy to do look ups and provide info from this book if anyone is researching this Bradford family. Please be sure that you mention the Bradford book by name as I will also be offering look ups from some other books in my personal library to various lists. My Bradford line is that of Brazil (abt. 1820-1889) and Tabitha Bradford of Walton, Newton and Rockdale Counties in Georgia. Would like to hear from anyone researhing this line also.

I have sent your message on to my sister. She may get in touch. I thought I had her family file out, when I started this, but can't seem to find info I have. Probably stuck it in with something else when cleaning. Meanwhile, I do remember that two Bradford sisters(maybe GGGAunts of my sister) married two Aycock brothers. I will look through all papers--may take a while, but I will get back. Thanks for your info. Dana

I am trying to solve the riddle of where does Thomas Bradford (wife Sarah ) Fit in the Charles city VA Bradford family . I have located what I believe to be the connection to Thomas Bradford and Mary Hargraves (m in Granville co, 1782) This Thomas and Mary are the parents of The Bradford Family of Clarke co AL and several lines that moved to AR in 1870. This family migrated from Wilkes co GA (and Putnam co, Middle GA in about 1815) The connection which I have not yet proved is Thomas and Sarah Bradford are the parents of Thomas (m married Mary Pollly Hargraves) I also believe this family is closely connected with the Aycocks , Lanes and other VA and NC families. There is a Thomas and Sarah who sell land in Halifax co NC 1768 that I think are the same Thomas and Sarah that die in Hancock co in 1811 ( thomas dies will june 1811)
