I am looking for David B. BRADFORD who married the widow Elizabeth CROCKER on 29 Jan 1850 in Eaton Co., MI. He was born 15 Dec 1800 in Middlesex Co. CT and died 5 Jul 1880 in Eaton Rapids, Eaton Co., MI. His 1st wife was Lydia HALL b: cal 21 Jun 1806 and died 12 Nov 1844 Eaton Rapids, MI. His 3rd wife was Mrs. Missouri AUSTIN b: ca 1811 d: 10 Sept 1884 Eaton Rapids, MI. Elizabeth's first husband (?) was Elijah PARMETER / PALMETER. She married Martin CROCKER (b: ca 1811) about 1843, had one son by him, Oramel M. CROCKER b: 1846. Martin died about 1847. Elizabeth apparently held the original deed to land purchased by Elijah PARMETER in 1841 in Jackson Co. Martin CROCKER paid the taxes on this land from 1844-47, then in 1848 it is paid by the "widow CROCKER." In 1849 the taxes are paid by her step-son Elijah PARMETER Jr. In 1850 they are paid by Elizabeth CROCKER. She remarries on 29 Jan 1850 in Eaton Co. to David B. BRADFORD, he pays the taxes from 1851-56 when the land is sold. Elizabeth (maiden name unknown) PARMETER CROCKER BRADFORD died 10 Mar 1864 near Eaton Rapids, Eaton Co., MI. Elijah PARMETER's 1st wife is identified on his son's death certificate as Martha BRITTON. It is unclear if she died in NY or after he came to MI. He is not found on the 1840 census. I believe he purchased the land before he married Elizabeth. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who might have information on David B. BRADFORD and his wife Elizabeth. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Lillie or Tillie BRADFORD taken at the Washburn Studio in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her married name is also noted on the back of the photograph, it looks like LEVENCH or SEVENCH. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1870's or 1880's with the subject likely in her 20's at the time. I'm hoping to locate someone from her family so that this wonderful old family photograph can be returned to family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
This didn't get sent to all the lists the first time, so I am resending it. For those that didn't get it last time, read on. For those that did get it last time, I fixed the link. Sorry for the mixup. Hello everyone. As you all should know, I maintain a webpage for my lists (http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~kshai/index.htm). I haven't been able to really update the page this past year because of school and work not allowing me any free time. Now, this summer, I can finally work on it. Please send me your ideas for additions to the webpage as well as any transcriptions of records you would like me to add (by default, I will put your email address on the page created using that data, let me know if you do NOT want me to add this). Does this sound familiar to anyone?? Someone must know this family....well heres hoping anyway, have a great day all :-) I for sometime now have been working on my own and my stepmums family tree (Davis). We have had a lot of real mysteries as you can well imagine and know when you start dabbling into this sort of thing. Her father Hobart Vivian DAVIS, born 19 August 1886 at Fingal, NE Tasmania. His name is actually recorded as Hobart Verian DAVIS and the reference is 1886/1527/33. Parents are George Alexander DAVIS and Sarah Ann CRAWLEY, went missing back in 1956 (from christchurch,NZ) without trace and still to this day we have never found out what happened to him which is very sad, perhaps he went back to Australia to die, who knows?, but there have never been records found here for him unless he died with using another name which in that case we will probably never find him. There was a trace done for him through the salvation army, the police missing persons reports and still nothing!!! I am trying to gift my stepmum with the knowledge of what happened to her father before she too passes away, but with much difficulty. Hobart never spoke much of his immediate family but I wondered if anyone knows anything of this Davis family? I have on site <outbind://7/www.geocities.com/lucyz_nz> www.geocities.com/lucyz_nz how our Davis lot go. There where a lot of them that apparently came originally from Wales, and a lot that resided here in New Zealand as well. If you have ever heard of or know any little amount of info if you have time to reply to me it would be much appreciated. I would especially just like to thank you for taking your time to read this email. Kind Regards Sheryl www.geocities.com/anika662000/ Snelleksz Family www.geocities.com/lucyz_nz/ Davis Family

Dear Corinne Butler. I would love to have attended the Butler Reunion on July 4 in Rockland,. Maine, but it is a long way for me, and I need more advance notice. My children are coming from NY down to Maryland over July 4 weekend, so this year it is not possible. Have you had this gathering before? Is it a regular annual event? Always the same time of year? Always the same place? How many usually attend (20 - 40 - 400?). My Butler line is desc. from 1) Nicholas Butler who was living at Martha's Vineyard, Mass ca. 1662. I understand that this Nicholas had a son, 2) John, who married to Mary Lyne. Line continues are noted below. This info is not verified and mostly has come via surname lists & emails with others. 6) Benjamin Butler (1746-1829), marr. 1769 to Amy Daggett, (b. 1750). They moved to Farmington, ME, and in 1790 Benjamin purchased Lot 23 in Farmington Village. He and Amy had 13 children. The first ten were born at MV prior to their move to Maine. The last three were born in Franklin Co., Maine. I am desc. from their 4th child, 7) Benjamin Butler (1776-1855) and his wife Huldah Bradford. They married in Maine ca. 1800, and she was a direct desc. of Gov. Wm. Bradford of Plymouth. They had eleven children, all born in Franklin Co. Maine, vic. of New Sharon, Anson, etc. This couple were the grandparents of my great grandmother, Sarah Butler Palmer (1834-1911). Sarah was born in Maine and went via covered wagon to LaSalle Co. IL in 1847 where she married to Ephraim M. Palmer in 1861. Sarah did a lot of family research ca. 1890-1910 and I have all of her original notes, letters and documents, with extensive corresp. with her cousins and ancestors back in Maine. I would be very interested in sharing information with anyone who is descended from these families. I have extensive information which I can add. I am Peter Burrows, P. O.
