Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3YF.2ACIB/1795.2 Message Board Post: Jack, Jacob and Daniel Bradford sons of Wm and brothers to my GGranbdad John A Bradford settled in DeKalb County, MO around Cameron. Both are buried in Wamsley Cemetery. Apparently brother John A also lived for a time in MO as my greatgranddad Daniel Riley was born in MO. But he died in Van Buren Co, Arkansas. Years ago I was told by someone that the brothers had settled in the boot hill of MO but if so was only for a short time. I spent some time near Kansas City a few years ago with a descendant of Jacob's.

They had three children, Stanley James, Percy, and Lottie. Annie Jackson Bradford was sister to my great grandmother, Hannah Uretta Jackson Convery. Her brothers William Jackson and Fred Jackson also homesteaded in the Ernfold area. I also know that Lottie Bradford married another Ernfold area homesteader and store clerk, Herb Davidson, and that they had two children, Burdette and Annie. I have pictures of my grandmother, Mildred Convery Bloss, with Annie Bradford, with Stan Bradford, and with Percy Bradford that were apparently taken in the summer of 1952. The Convery, Bradford, Jackson, Bloss, and several other connected families are referenced in a book "From Prairie Sod to Golden Grain" Norman Bloss

That is one of the oldest names in a town south of us. Centreville, MI. In fact, one of the last covered bridges is named after that family. My last Bradford ancestor is Lucy. There is another Bradford line in the same area where she died, but I don't know whether they are related or not. One of my Rathwell relatives married Mary Bradford, in the Oberlin, OH, area. I am also descended from several Mayflower Passengers. William Bradford, William Brewster, Mary (?), Love Brewster, John Howland, Elizabeth Tilley, William Collier, and possibly one of the Allerton men. I keep finding more and more of them, so who knows, I might have more.

I spent nearly a year putting it together. Our lines parted with Major William Bradford. He had many children, as you know. I'm amazed at how names repeat themselves....Ephraim, Lucy, etc. My Great Grandmother, Ellen Bradford (1851-1950), was the last named Bradford in our family. My great uncle, my cousin, and I and one of my sons took the name as a middle name. Mayflower families mixed a lot...Alden, Mullins, Delano, and Warren are all in my ancestory. Brad
