His children inherited his land according to a Deed of Conveyance. His son, John A., bought the land from his siblings. In 1858 John sold the same land, which was in Putnam Co. at that time, according to a deed on file. Putnam became a county in 1854; part of it came from White Co. Evidently, John went to AR after that. If related or interested, please email me personally. Carol Bradford bradfordcg@charter.net

Bradford had a father whose first name was either James or William and his middle name was Hawthorne. He also lived in New york and then in Arizona and in fact died somewhere out there but I can't find his death records. He lived in New England for a while to avoid paying child support to my grandmother, his ex-wife. I never met him because they divorced before I was born. Is it possible we are related? 1. HRW - Two Nuns
    2. HAROLD ROBERT WILLIAMS
    3. Two nuns who worked in a hospital were out driving in the country when they ran out of gas. As they were standing beside their car on the shoulder of the road, a truck approached them. Noticing the nuns in distress, the trucker stopped and offered to help. When the nuns explained they had run out of gas, the trucker said he would be more than happy to drain some from his tank, but he didn't have a bucket or a can. Hearing this, one of the nuns dug out a clean bedpan from the trunk and asked the trucker if it would do. He said it would and proceeded to drain a couple of quarts into the pan. He then handed the pan to the sisters, got back into his truck and waved goodbye. While the nuns were carefully pouring the precious fuel into their gas tank, a cop happened by. He stopped and watched them for a few moments, then said, "Sisters, somehow I don't think that's going to work, but I sure do admire your faith!"

I have images relating to Anne's generation & after. I just haven't had time to get them on our web site!
