William T. Beaty, a resident of Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee in 1888 applied for pension as a survivor of the Mexican War. He states that he was a private in Captain Chambliss company in the 3rd regiment of Tenn. Vol Infantry commanded by B. F. Cheatham in the War with Mexico. He enlisted at Giles County Tenn. on the 25th of August 1847 and was discharged at Memphis in 1848. He states that he is 60 years old and was born in Maury County Tenn. on the 4th day of December 1828. He states that his wife is dead. Her maiden name was Mary L. Foly (or Fly?) and they married in Nashville in 1852. He has resided in Nashville since 1851, currently living at # 10 Miller Street. Nat F.
