    3. >From the "Western Weekly Review" Williamson County TN: Jan. 9, 1852 -- "John Beaty's candle and soap factory, on water street, Nashville, was consumed by fire on Sunday morning last. He was fully insured." [From an earlier message: Beaty, John, 83, died yesterday, well known citizen; born in County Dungannon, Ireland; came to U. S. when he was 14; lived in New York four or five years, moved to Lexington, Ky, where he resided until 1820; then came to Nashville; lived here 55 years; had considerable fortune; buried City Cemetery today. (Nashville Union and American, 3 Dec 1874.) Mr. Beaty came to Nashville in 1820....
