    3. In 1888 Addison Beaty, living in San Lucas, Monterey county, CA, stated on his pension application that he was 62 years old and born the 10th of Dec. 1825 in Monticello, Wayne Co., KY. He was a Corpl. in company H commanded by Captain John G. Lair in the 4th regiment of KY Vols. commanded by Col Jno. S. Williams in the War with Mexico. He enlisted at Louisville, Ky in October 1847 and was discharged at Louisville, KY in July 1848. Since his discharge he lived in Wayne County, KY till 1850, since that time in California. He married Climena Foster at Stockton, CA Oct. 31, 1854 and she died Feb. 23, 1856. The name of his present wife is Rosetta J. Beatty. In Dec. 1898 Addison Beaty is a resident of the Soldier's Home in Los Angeles, CA. In 1899 he states that he is a widower and he has no children. He gives his wife's name as Rosina Darling, and states that they were married 14 years ago in Salinas, CA. He gives his first wife's name as Trimena Foster and states he had no children by either wife. He states he suffered mumps in Mexico City and as a result is disabled. There is a lot of medical testimony relating to his disability. His pension was stopped at his death Nov. 22, 1903. This file is 48 pages long. Laurel Baty, L252
