    1. [BP2000] Re: Jay Beatty message
    2. I have a Charles E BEATY in my line that COULD possibly be the same as Jay's Charles Edwin (see below). However I have NO DOCUMENTATION on my Charles E. However, there are a few coincidences. See my Beaty line at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gtusa/beatty.htm Again, I have no information on Charles E other than what is posted, and I have no other documentation, so this is just a clue. Charles is a common name in the Beaty/Beatty lines, so this could be a dead end, BUT, it could also be a hint. At this point I have no idea, but it's a shot... I'm Jay Wendell Beatty, born 1930 in Middletown, Ohio. My father was Charles Edwin Beatty, Born in 1907 in Franklin, Ohio. His father was Benjamin Franklin Beatty also born in Franklin, Ohio. My great grandfather was Charles Edwin Beatty also. I do not know where he was born nor where he came from. He died in 1936 at approximate age 75 so assume his birthdate was 1860/1. I believe he resided for a period of time in Ankeny, Iowa, but am not certain. He had two brothers who were traveling ministers, never married and left no family. His daughter, my great Aunt Ethel, married William Eisenminger of Franklin, Ohio. They had no children. I have 2 brothers, Gale Edwin and David Gerald Beatty and a sister, Judith Ann Karshner, all of Middletown and Lebanon, Ohio. Attempting to trace my family has been a great disappointment to me. I cannot get further back into history than Great Grandfather C.E.Beatty. Have you run across any of these names in your search. If so, I would be delighted to hear from you. Best regards, Jay W. Beatty
