It is therefore considered by the court that the State of Tennessee recover against the said WILLIAM BEATY the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars, unless he appears here at the next term of this court and shows sufficient cause of his disability to appear and that a scirifacias issue to make known &c. Page 182 (page 301 of Minute Book) Aug 31, 1820 The State Vs WILLIAM BEATY, Sciri facias This day came James Rodgers esquire Solicitor General who prosecutes for the State, and for reasons disclosed in the affidavit of the defendant. It is ordered by the Court that the forfeiture herein taken against the defendant at the last term of this court be set aside upon the defendant paying the costs herein accrued. Therefore it is considered by the court that the State recover against the said defendant the costs in this behalf expended. Page 225 (Page 361, Aug 20, 1821) JOHN BEATY ia a juror Page 271 (p 425 of Minute Book) A Deed of conveyance from Felps Read to ANDREW BEATY for two hundred acres of land was produced in open court and the execution thereof proven by the oaths of George Hoshaw and Robert Higshaw subscribing witnesses thereto, the said Robert Higshaw stating that he did not recollect the time when said deed of conveyance was executed and the said George Heshaw stating that said deed of conveyance was executed about four years ago. Whereupon said Deed of conveyance was ordered to be certified. page 291 (p450 of Minute Book) The Grand Jury returned into court and presented a bill of indictment against JOHN BAITY and Robert Crockett for disturbing public worship a true bill and retired.
