William Batey of Rutherford County but, alas, no luck! There was news from all over the State of Tennessee and a lot of wonderful obituaries of Rev War soldiers (no Beatys). BETTY married to Miss Elizabeth Pinkston Sept. 21, 1838--Mr. JNO. D. BETTY married to Miss Isabella Hill February 21, 1840. Died.On Thursday 6th inst., in this county, Mr. Peter Pinkston, aged about 78 or 80 years, and for the last 40 years a resident of Williamson. The deceased was a highly respected and esteemed citizen, upright and correct in the intercourse of lifeand possessed of the kindest feelings towards all. Peace to the good mans memory living, he commanded the confidence and esteem of relatives and friends, and in death, the remembrance of his worth lives, and will long live in the hearts of all who knew him.
