Bobbie and Beatty Cousins, This one that I copied from the first group of the 1870 Census listings of Montana, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, and this George might be the younger brother of William Henry BEATY and the older brother of my great- grandfather John Clinton "Clint" BEATTY (Two "T"s). However, Edward Benjamin BEATY, first son of Wm. Henry and Mary Jane (GOULD) BEATY, was the first of their children to move to Corvalis, Benton Co., OR, and he was not born until 1876. It could be that there were already BEATY/BEATTY families in Eugene Oregon, which caused Edward Benjamin BEATTY and others in the William Henry BEATY family to settle there, and George might have gone there to visit in 1870.
