Rodgers a constable for the county of Claiborne proceeded in Court an execution issued by William Graham esqr., a justice of the peace for said county in favor of and to satisfy or judgment obtained by James Walker before Joseph Peterson Esqr. a Justice of the peace for Campbell County against Stephen Con, Henderson & BEATTY, the execution of which judgment in said County was regularly certified according to law & the first mentioned execution was issued, which first mentioned execution so as aforesaid produced in court commanded any campal officer said county of the goods and chattels lands and tenements of the said defendant to make the sum of seventy five dollars twelve and one half cents debt with the interest there on proven the 10th day of September 1819 the date of said judgment as also fifty costs upon the which execution the said Reuben R. Rodgers constable made his return that he had levied the same on a tract of land lying at Cumberland Gap as the property of MARTIN BEATTY one of the defendants and that no personal property was found in his plaintiff James Walker, by his attorney William B. Reese, it is ordered by the court that an order of sale issue to expose to public sale the said tract of land so levied on or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to satisfy the plaintiff his debt and cost aforesaid and also the costs of this motion. Page 164 (page 360 Aug. 12, 1821) Ordered by the court that Joel Jones be appointed a constable in the bounds of Captain Browns Company for the Insuing two years and thereup was sworn as the Law directs and entered into bond with William Hog and WILLIAM BEATY as securities. Page 168 (p370, Aug. 13, 1821) State vs WILLIAM BEATY and others this case the Defendant WILLIAM BEATY being charged on the bill on Indictment for plea thereto satin he is guilty.
