More information: The application by Lydia Shaw Beatty was based on the war service of her first husband, John Fulkerson. We have no information indicating that this William Beatty (b. Aug 09, 1776, PA-d. Feb 22, 1854, KY) was a veteran. BEATTY, WILLIAM - LYDIA: WO 10692. Rejected 12 February 1874. County of Grayson, State of Kentucky, 5 February 1874, Lydia A. Beatty, resident of county and State aforesaid, aged 80, being duly sworn, declared that she is the widow of John Fulkerson, deceased, who served the full period of 60 days in the military service, who enlisted in Captain Aaron Hart's Company, that she married under the name of Lydia Shaw in Hardin County, Kentucky on 21 March 1811 by B. Ogden, a minister, that her said husband died in Grayson County in 1817 and after his death she remarried to William Beatty and he died in Grayson County February 22, 1854.
