December 12, 1825 Glasgow,Lanark,Scotland he died April 12, 1919 in Charlevoix Mi he was buried April 17, 1919 in Rose Hill Cemetery Chicago Ill. along with him there is his Mother Ann McMillian Beattie John Cooper and Agnes Beattie Cooper ( John's sister) His first 2 wives Elizabeth Jamison Martha Hardister Other children of George and Ann were Elizabeth Beattie Graham m. thomas Graham she died still in Scotland she was born on Arran Jessie Beattie her last name could have been Stevenson or spelt like that. The one obit I have with her name has the middle gone out of it. She was last known in Chicago. there also could have been George Beattie but don't know anything about him. I do know they are related to the Ewings, Dryer, Deans, He came to the USA when just 13 yrs. by him self as a cabin boy stayed and worked on the Manhatten (ship), Went to war and was a Stevedor, a Capt. of his own ship, a harbor master and in his obit it said he was the old and longest Mason at that time.
