>From a non-member... Can anyone help? -----Original Message----- From: Clayton Rock [mailto:cjrock@pipcom.com] Sent: Monday, February 16, 2004 7:38 PM To: naturalsoft@ameritech.net Subject: William and Naomi Beattie Hello Mr. Allen It was suggested by Bruce Lawton that I contact you about information on the family of William and Naomi Beattie who resided in Waterloo Ontario. Some time in the early 1900's (I suspect 1912) my Grandmother, Clara Rock (Nee: Cook), and her sisters and brother was left by her Father to live with the Beattie Family. There have been a lot of storys in the family as to why they were left in Waterloo, one was that her father was a ships captain who was bringing his family to Canada when his wife died on the crossing. He left the children with the Beatties to return to Germany and was never heard from again. There are other storys as well that seem just as strange and (unfortunatly) anyone "I know" that could tell me what happened has pass on. I was wondering if you would have any record of this event OR know of any surviving member of William's family that would be willing to talk to me about these events. I know it is a long shot but I don't know anytjing about Clara's family and would like to get that branch of the Family Tree filled in a little bit. I look forward to your reply. Thank you Clayton J.
