Brown atty Elizabethtown Ky. State of Kentucky Hardin County Sct: Be it known that on this the 30th day of October 1852, before me the undersigned Judge of the Hardin County Court in the state aforesaid, personally appeared William Beatty who is well known to me as a credible witness who being first duly sworn according to law deposeth and saith that his is seventy six years of age, and was born in the state of Pennsylvania on the 9th day of August 1776. That he came to Kentucky in the year 1789 or thereabouts. That he was personally acquainted with John Fulkerson late of Grayson County Kentucky who was a Revolutionary Pensioner and drew Eighty dollars per annum. That he was also personally aquainted with Margaret Fulkerson, the wife of the said John - that her maiden name was Margaret Bruner. That he is also well acquainted with Peter Fulkerson the oldest child of the said Margaret and John. That he knows the said Peter is now seventy seven years of age and was born in the year 1775. That he first became acquainted with the said John & M! argaret in the year 1802, upwards of fifty years ago. That they were then living together as man and wife and had several children, and the said Peter was the oldest of said children, and was then about twenty seven years of age, and was married and had children. How many he had, at the time referred to, he can not now remember; but he knows that he had five children, to wit: William, James, Peggy, Polly and Nancy. That the said William, married Cassa Ann Beatty, and the said James, married Elizabeth Allison Beatty, both of whom were the daughters of him, the said William Beatty. That he has always understood from the Fulkerson family and has no doubt of the fact that the said John and Margaret Fulkerson were married in the year seventeen hundred and seventy four, in Sussex County New Jersey. That he is confident of the fact of the date of said marriage for the reason that he, the said William Beatty, was born in August 1776, and the said Peter, he knows, is about a year old! er than he is, and consequently must have been born in 1775. He further states that he is disinterested. Attest: A. C. Cook - Peter Stuart - Wm (his mark) Beatty Subscribed and sworn to before me this 30th day of October 1852. I further certify that I have known the above named William Beatty for the space of thirty years, at least, and believe him him to be a man of truth and veracity, & that his statements above, are strictly true. John Morris County Judge of Hardin County Ky State of Kentucky Hardin County Sct: I, Hugh J. Dennison, Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid certify that John Morris whose signature appears to the above certificate is and was at the time of signing the same, Judge of the County Court for the county aforesaid, duly elected and commissioned according to law. That said court is a court of record. The commission of the said John Morris bears date on the 20th day of May AD 1851 and continues four years, and his signature above is genuine.
