Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Joel Fithian and Elizabeth Beatty, his wife. Joel Fithian, (1748-1821), served as sheriff, 1776-78, and was a member of the Legislature, 1779. He raised a company of militia which served in the defense of the state. He was born in Greenwich; died in Roadstown, N. DAR ID Number: 27881 Born in Brazil, South America. Wife of Arthur Willson Reynolds. Descendant of Col. John Beatty. Daughter of John Beatty Howell and Elizabeth Day, his wife. Granddaughter of Archibald Alexander Howell (1815-90) and Isabella Beatty (1816-92), his wife. Gr.-granddaughter of Richard Beatty (1779-1846) and Isabella Imlay, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of John Beatty and Mary Longstreet (1756-1815), his wife. John Beatty, (1748-1826), was captain of Bucks county militia, 1776, and major when captured at Fort Washington. He was not exchanged until, 1778, when he was made commissary general of prisoners with the rank of colonel. He was born in Bucks Co., Penna.; died in Trenton, N.
