Two of the Beaty claims were disallowed and appealed to the House of Representatives. I am going to try and research these later this week. The claims were: Benjamin Batey, Rutherford County, Tennessee [L64]: there are two claims by Benjamin for Horses, mules, beeves, Bacon and produce ($4,919.00) and Horse, corn and fodder ($665.00) Robert Batey et al, Whitfield County, Georgia: There are 5 claim numbers for (1) horses, corn, lumber and brick ($1,378.50, of which $7771.15 was allowed) and (2) brick, lumber and pig iron ($8,999.94). I now need to check another microfilm series M2007, "U. S. Court of Claims Docket Cards for Congressional Case Files, ca. 1884-1943" and then try and see if the case files have survived.
