Gr-granddaughter of Samuel Williamson and Ann Starr (1759-1806), his wife. Samuel Williamson (1759-1815) served, 1780, at the battle of Huck's defeat. He was born and died in York County, S. C. Joseph Poor (1737-95), who fought in the early wars, commanded a company from Byfield at the Lexington Alarm. He was born in Rowley; died in Byfield, Mass. Richard Thurston (1710-82) was a member of the Committee of Safety of Newbury, Mass., where he was born; he died in Rowley, Mass. Daniel Brooks (1764-1839) enlisted, 1781, as a private in Capt. John Hayward's company, Col. Webb's Massachusetts regiment. He was born and died in Lincoln, Mass. Daniel Chute (1722-1805) commanded a company, 1775, at Bunker Hill. He was born and died in Newbury, Mass. James Chute (1751-1825) was a minute man at the Lexington Alarm. He was born in Newbury, Mass.; died in Madison, Ind. Samuel Dakin (1744-1811) served as private in Capt. William Smith's company of minute men, Col. Abijah Pierce's regiment, which marched on the Lexington Alarm. He was born and died in Concord, Mass. [p.26] Daniel Dewey (1731-1816) commanded a company, 1775, from Lebanon for the relief of Boston. He served in the Rhode Island campaign under Gen. Joseph Spencer.
