There is only one Bettey in the Civil War Pension Index: John F. Bettey, Iowa application # 4563811 certificate # 329179 filed from Iowa (can't quite make out the date) H26 Iowa Inf K4 LRC (?) I will try and copy the index cards for Betty at the National Archives--I doubt that there are very many and that is such a hard name to search for. If any one is interested in this pension let me know and I will copy it. I also would not mind doing a few from the Baty/Baity/ Batey lists that I posted earlier if anyone has a request.
