He had with him his sons, Henry and William, and the latter was killed at Hobkirk's Hill. He was born and died in Maryland. Thomas Beall (1743-1823) was a member of the Convention, 1776, from the upper district of Frederick County. He was captain of a rifle company under Col. Moses Rawlings. He died in Cumberland, Md., a town that he founded.
