George Palmer Ransom (1762-1850) served in his father's company at the Wyoming Massacre, being later captured by Indians and sent to Canada, where he escaped, serving until the close of the war. He was born in Canaan, Conn.; died in Plymouth, Pa. Samuel Ransom was commissioned captain, 1775, in the 24th regiment, Connecticut militia, and served at the Battle of Wyoming where in 1778 he was killed. He was born in Middleboro, Mass.
