This is the only file I copied completely. Beatty, John fiche # 4060, Cert # 4789 In June of 1890 Elizabeth K. Beatty, aged 39 years and living in Newark, Essex Co., New Jersey, applied for a pension based on the service of her husband John Beatty. John enlisted in the Navy in June of 1860 in the war of "Rebellion." She states that John died on April 25, 1889. Her maiden name was Elizabeth King and she was married to John in Jan of 1876. The following children were born of their marriage: Mary, Jan. 10, 1878 James, June 15, 1880 Annie, May 18, 1883 John, Nov. 7, 1885 Elizabeth, Nov (?) 2, 1887; died June 19, 1889 Thomas, Sept. 24, 1888 Elizabeth's certificate of baptism is in this file and gives her parents names as James King and Ann McGrane and her date of birth as Nov. 28, 1853. John Beatty's death certificate is in the file and shows his place of birth as Ireland and cause of death as typhoid fever. Statements concerning the births and baptism of the children are also in the file. Elizabeth died Oct. 19, 1933. Her son, James Beatty, a resident of Newark, NJ, applied to be reimbursed for her funeral expenses. Elizabeth's death certificate is in the file. Laurel Baty, L252
