    3. I copied all of the Beaty (all spellings) files indexed in the following book at the Archives today: "The Lost Pensions, Settled Accounts of The Act of 6 April 1838" by Craig R. Scott, Willow Bend Books, 1996 These files are basically final Pension Payments for Rev War Pensioners or their widows which are found in a different Record Group than the other Final Pension payments at the Archives. The Beatys in the book: Beatey, David, NC [ Iredell Co, death not shown, power of attorney] Beatty, Arthur, w/o, Albany NY [Died Dec. 10, 1836, left a widow named Elizabeth--witnesses are Lemeul Jenkins and Harriet Deming] Beatty, John w/o KY [John died June 9, 1839 in Montgomery Co, KY, witnesses on documents are George Beatty and Daniel McCullough, left widow Sallie, attorney was Independence Gist] Beatty, John w/o, Philadelphia [Mifflin Co PA, died June 27, 1840, left a widow named Nancy of Armagh Township. John had reside in Mifflin Co for 20 years and previous thereto in Lancaster] Beatty, William, c/o New York [Died May 1, 1834; left no widow, daughter Maria of Orange County, NY, only child surviving him, of legal age, signs name Maria Beatty] Beaty, David, NC [Iredell co, death not shown, power of attorney] Beaty, David, NC [Iredell Co, death not shown, power of attorney] All of the Davids are the same man David Beaty from Iredell, NC (who also has a Final Pension Payment on file, which I have copied).
