    3. There were three War of 1812 Pensions from Kentucky soldiers: *Beatie, James G., Pvt. Capt. Samuel Tate’s Co., Ky. Mil., Aug. 23, 1813 – Dec. 22, 1813; 1851, 1855, Saline Co., Mo. 1872, Elmwood, Saline Co., Mo.; soldier's dischg. Certf. in brief. Widow: Elizabeth __; married Dec. 29, 1813, Pulaski Co., KY. COPIED [L4?] Extracts: W. L. Beatie is a witness in 1873 (also signature of L. Wm. Beatie). James Beatie is 60 years old in 1851 and a resident of Saline Co Mo. He volunteered at Somerset Pulaski Co KY in 1813. There is a lot of confusion concerning the unit he served in but eventually an original discharge notice is found stating that he served in Samuel Tate's Co. James states he married Elizabeth Beatie at Pulaski Co KY on Dec 29, 1813. John Lynch and C. J. Miller appear as witnesses for James, all of Saline County MO. [From "Missouri Obituaries July 1872 -1873 -- Dec 1874, Abstracts of Obituaries Published Weekly in The "St. Louis Christian Advocate," Volume II" by Mrs. Howard W. Woodruff, 198513 May 1874 Beatie, James G. was born in Washington Co, VA, 28 Jan 1799; emigrated to Pulaski Co., KY, in 1811; served his country as a soldier of the war of 1812, under Gen. Shelby; was married to Miss Elizabeth Stevenson in 1818, and in 1836 removed to Saline Co, MO, where he remained until his death, 28 Feb 1874, aged 84 yrs 1 mo. The writer received Brother Beattie into the Methodist Church in 1829, on the Sumersett circuit, KY Conference .... His companion, 3 daus and 1 son preceded him to the heavenly world, while 3 daus & 3 sons are still on pilgrimage. Died at the house of his son-in-law, Thomas Dysart -- Thomas Wallace.] *Beatty,William; Capt Aaron Harts Co. Ky Militia Widow: Beatty, Lydia; WO 10692; this is all that is on this card. COPIED [L112?] This is a short file (13 pages) Highlights: Lydia Beatty is 80 in 1874, a resident of Grayson Co KY, Big Clifty PO. She lives with her son, A. D. Beatty. She is the widow of John Fulkerson. Isaac and Jacob Pirtle state that after the death of Lydia's first husband, John Fulkerson she remarried William Beatty who died the 22 day of Feb 1854. They saw Lydia Shaw marry John Fulkerson in Hardin Co Ky on the 21 day of March, 1811. Her first husband died in Grayson Co, KY in 1817 and she married William Beatty in Grayson Co, KY on Aug 10, 1820. There is a copy of the marriage register for her first marriage. *Beaty, Joseph B., Col.
