    3. >From "The Central Gazette" May 22, 1846, McMinnville, Warren County, Tennessee: TAX SALE State of Tennessee Fentress County February Term Circuit Court, 1846 I, J. Kennedy, Tax Collector for the county of Fentress, do hereby report to the Court the following tracts of land having been given in for taxes in 1845 --that the taxes thereon remain due and unpaid, and the respective owners or claimants thereof have no goods nor chattels within my county upon which I can distrain for taxes to wit: [Many names follow; I have abstracted the following two] SAMUEL CRABTREE, one tract of land, 100 acres, valued at 25 dollars, in district No. 8 --Total tax 8 cents. MARTIN BEATY, one tract of land, 100 acres in Civil District No 5, valued at 100 dollars, tax 32 cents. Whereupon it is considered by the Court, that judgement be, and is hereby, entered against the aforesaid tracts of land in the name of the State, for the sum annexed to each, being the amount of taxes, costs and charges severally due thereon for the year 1845; and it is therefore ordered by the Court, that said several tracts of land, or so much thereof as may be sufficient of each of them to satisfy the taxes annexed to them severally be sold as the law directs. The foregoing is a true and perfect copy from the minutes of the Court as the same stands on record in my office. Given under my hand at office this 8th day of May AD 1846.
