Voila, I can finally add something to my tree. I have just received a death certificate for my paternal grandfather Goerge Wilkinson BEATTY. The only info I had about him was that which was on my father's birth certificate. Here goes: George W. BEATTY, born Dec 1876, died July 28, 1926. He was born in Brownsville, PA, to John H. BEATTY and Rachael SMITH both born in PA. He is buried in Southside Cemetery. He was the widower of Catherine Beatrice (MOORE, GARRITY) BEATTY who preceded him in death in January of 1925. An address is listed as 1448 Loraine St in Pittsburgh. The house is still there and pictured on the PA assessment site. Since I am unable to participate in the DNA program (all females) I am hoping to connect to another BEATTY somewhere along the way.
