DAR ID Number: 51509 Born in Mt. Sterling, Ohio. Wife of Charles Waters. Descendant of John Durham, and of George Beatty. Daughter of John Durham (b. 1821) and Mary Beatty (1830-99), his wife, m. 1852. Granddaughter of Ralph Durham and Elizabeth E. Durham, his wife; Elijah Beatty (1795-1858) and Ann Miller (1800-77), his wife, m. 1817. Gr-granddaughter of John Durham and Mary Ann Durham, his wife; Charles Beatty (1765-1850) and Leanor Barkelow (d. 1826), his wife, m. 1792. Gr-gr-granddaughter of George Beatty and Anne Cullens, his wife. John Durham (1760-1852), enlisted, 1777, as a private in the 10th North Carolina regiment. He was placed on the pension roll, 1840, of Brimfield County, Ohio. He was born in North Carolina; died in Ohio. George Beatty (1740-90), enlisted, 1778, as a private in Capt. Reuben Briscoe's company, 3rd Virginia regiment under Lieut Col. Granddaughter of Peter de Riemer Livingston and Caroline Amelia Hollister, his wife. Gr-granddaughter of Abner Hollister, Jr., and Polly W. Elwell, his wife. Gr-gr-granddaughter of Abner Hollister and Sarah Beatty, his wife. Abner Hollister (1754-1813), served in the expedition to Quebec under Arnold, where, after the surrender, he made his way home through the pathless wilderness. He was born in Glastonbury, Conn.; died in Cayuga County, N. Y.
